Briefly hit 80 here, down to 76, the station just south of me near the water peaked at 77, so 80 seems reasonable.

Even though PDX has never got warmer than 80 in March, Vancouver, downtown Portland, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, and Oregon City have all hit 82-83. Most of the records are from March 1930.

If the station just south of me had only hit 73-74, I would question my sensor but it is usually 3-4 degrees warmer at our house than there, today matched that perfectly.  I have gone to about where the sensor is on really warm days before and there is a noticeable difference in temp feel, proximity to cold river.

For the Puget Sound region, the March biggies are 2004 and 1928. Kent hit a remarkable 81 in 2004, and even more incredibly, Landsburg touched 84 in 1928.

Had a low of 38 and we're up to 77 and climbing fast. Might be blackbody radiation from nearby roof but many stations recording similar or higher readings nearby, with one station near Seattle reading 80. 40 degree spread seems achievable today

I shouldn't have let Steve/Mark/Bobby convince me to do 74 instead of my gut 75 or 76 today. Probably would've done 75.

Fake 80 degrees in Sherwood.

 

I say fake because my temperature sensor is about 5% too warm when it's sunny and winds <5 mph. So 76.5 would be the high then. 

 

It's fine when it's cloudy though.

Nice station! Mine seems to always be dead on accurate in the sun and shade.

I haven't been online for awhile. It's been very busy at work. My work made me a line lead and it's been crazy trying to get things organized. I even did some overtime today. 

Well, my area almost reached 80° today but it looks like the warm weather will only last a couple of days. Looks like we will be going back to normal to below normal by the middle of next week. This is to be expected going into Spring. A lot of fluctuation during this time of the season.
