August 2015 top tier wet in the Seattle area.    But certainly not cool.   

Worth mentioning that just last summer July and August averaged out to about perfectly normal for temperature at SEA.

I can actually count several Augusts that came close to average at KLMT while I was there. But June is the most overdue month to have a cool one next. 

So what's the deal with the first half of summer being a torch? I grew up with the perception that August was heat city, but can't tell you when that last happened in K-Falls.

July 2021 was record hot for most of the southern PNW.

Probably wet down to a certain latitude. Looks N/S gradient-y.

Visiting family in Post Falls last August was otherworldly. Usually it's sunny and in the 80s.

In the three days I stayed there we saw two days in the 90s, one day in the 100s, and choked on smoke the entire time.

I’d actually rather have ridging now, versus later. As long as it’s not extreme. We’re running out of time for sustained “nice” weather.

A month from now any significant ridge puts us over 90°F. Then just 6 weeks after that we need solid troughing just to stay under 90°F.

It is 53F right now and all overcast.  I find it shocking it will possibly hit 70F tomorrow then drop down to a high of 49F the next day.  It's going to be a roller coaster!

58 here and filtered sunshine. Doesn’t look like we will make it to 60…but still a very nice diurnal range of 58/32 so far.

Some people might even see some snow too early next week. More excitement so far this April compared to the last 3 for sure.

Your area won't come close to 70 tomorrow.     Even on a hot summer day when it 85 degrees at my house you are in the mid 60s there.
