I doubt anyone in western WA and OR will be spontaneously combusting this summer. I don't remember that happening in 2008 or 2010. Side note... North Bend has the same average summer temps as SEA. And we are warmer in the summer than most places north of Seattle. So I am praying that Mt. Vernon does not burst into flames when its in the low 70s there most of the summer. The models have shown it for over a week. This trough is also in the process of scouring out the marine layer completely. We had 80-degree sun yesterday while it was cloudy everywhere to the north.
