Have you been there? They have a home depot, walmart, one of the biggest hardware stores in the state several grocery stores and pretty much everything else you would need.

Yes... I have been there.  It has the basic big box stores.

Most people consider it very remote.  It was a humorous statement.

Temp down to 31.2 and cloudy. The melting that had begun earlier has stopped and re iced.

Just about back down to freezing here also. There might be a chance of seeing some snow when the precip begins later on.

It would be nice to not have snow in the morning here... going to make the morning more stressful for no reward since it will be warming up and melting most the snow anyways.

I am hoping for 34-degree rain here and along the I-90 corridor this time around.

33 degree rain is also popular with many people around here.

The 18z continues the improving trend around Christmas. Nice GOA ridge / SE ridge setup in the 5 to 10 day period. Sad thing I've been so right about this winter so far and yet have almost nothing to show for it.

The pattern has just been too progressive overall. Need a more amplified GOA/NPAC block in the long run.

Nah...Snowmizer, Tim, and Brennan usually gets a lot more than me...at least since 2012.

I had a couple winters with barely anything.   I think 2013-14 and 2014-15.

Went for a drive up to the top of gold mountain just above my place. Still 6 inches of snow up here and its 29 degrees at 1500 ft. Light snow up here. It will snow on the kitsap pen tonight.

Pretty much a given over there with trapped cold air.

The advantage that winter was lots of dry weather and sunshine... made it a very pleasant winter.   I am fine with cold/snow or any form of dry.

Models show 1-4" for me tonight/tomorrow morning. Leaning towards the lower amounts, but also think there will be a a fair amount of sleet/zr. I'm actually looking forward to snow melting off the roads tomorrow. Two work trucks are still in the ditch since Wednesday.

Yeah that is certainly an interesting track....Very similar to a 1/1/04 type event...

0z GFS is takes a step towards the Euro in the mid range. Shows a little lowland snow on Saturday and is pretty close to a significant snowstorm.

Snowstorm in Portland right before Christmas??

I'm coming to PDX for Christmas so you can bet your a** it'll snow.  :)

It's stopped snowing here for now even though the radar shows a huge area of precip overhead. Thankfully it's not raining.

Possible, the updated run of the 00z GFS is also keying on what the 12z EURO showed this morning. On day 7 it shows a system heading into California. If it heads into the PNW, we could most likely see a nice snowstorm for most of us here.

Then a nice fogversion develops. We need at least one of those this winter...

I have to admit is Portland gets hit again and we do not get anything I am going to be more than just little pissed. Cmon!!!! :( -- Actually, I am happy for them but just seems so tough to get snow here in the puget sound and the drought is even harder when so many others keep getting the goods and we just have to watch. fingers crossed! :)

Cheer up luvssnow_seattle, think of it this way. Due to the fact that you haven't gotten as much Snow as everybody else in recent years means you have better chances in future events. Mother nature always balances itself out in the long run.
