We're currently getting at least inch per hour rates through Multnomah and Clark Counties, looks to continue for awhile.

Yeah, I've been definitely thinking about this already. It's not often, even in Bozeman that I will see 12"+ snow events.

31.7 degrees and a NE wind 5-15 mph.

The amazing thing is how relatively light the wind is compared to every other event this winter. Some big gusts here and there, but overall calm enough to let you really enjoy watching the huge flakes fall. Very uniform coverage so far too. Probably approaching 1.5" now.

The cloud shield north line from the storm down south is literally above me right now, clear and starry north and then clouds thickening covering the moon from the south, kinda trippy.

Yeah but all the snow in Portland is going to melt in 2-3 days so the novelty doesn't even last. I'd much rather live in Bozeman with moderate snowpack all winter where the threat of above freezing temps stay away 98% of the winter season.
