That truly makes me doubt the WRF. You cannot discount the GFS MOS. Its the gut check for these events... seen it many times.

Been snowing nicely in Capitol Hill for a little while now. Cars, grass, and rooftops are turning white. Christmas tree is still lit up so sorta a lazy man's white Christmas here.

 

Hopefully they'll be a lot more white candy for all of us the next few days

Yep, snowing decently on the lower part of Capitol Hill here, basically downtown.

Ahead of that band of precipitation the temperature has risen to 39F and dewpoint fallen to 15F here in Victoria; kind of the opposite of what I'd expect but I doubt any of this band reaches the surface here.

Definitely a good sign that you're seeing snow in an area where the 0z WRF showed virtually nothing. Another strike on the reliability of these snow maps:

Thanks for posting that map. I live 10 miles north of the confluence of the Spokane & Columbia rivers. Looks like what that map is showing is on par with WU..... 5" for me. If it verifies, I'm going to play hell getting into Spokane metro by 7 am Monday morning . I love the driving challenges winter brings over here though, never a dull moment. Good times. Plus we need some fresh stuff. Everything here is hard as concrete.

Central & North sound are looking to score a good dusting tonight. East winds might be easier to overcome there for one reason or another. Not going to use the s word, but it might be part of it.
