I just saw the 12 UKMET. Looks similar to the EURO with precipitation overriding the cold air Thursday afternoon into Friday.

This morning HIO dropped to 19F and at one point had freezing fog so dense that they reported a visibility of -0.25 miles. 

Visibility so low you see backwards?

To compare to the 00z, the high Thursday is 6f warmer, and instead of an inch and a half of snow, it show a half inch.

Still just 34 here. Don’t think we will be seeing any snowflakes this afternoon but it’s pretty darn cold. 
 I thought the euro run was still decent. I certainly wouldn’t complain about a couple inches of snow and some sub freezing highs. Looks like the models are just getting close to nailing down where the low will actually go western WA is going to do just fine this week.

Definitely surprising to see that it’s already snowing in some places. Kind of a weird morning with temps hanging at 33-34 here and drizzling.

EPS is still very good.  A fuzz better than the 6z and not quite as cold as the 0z.  Looks like we are down to the fine tune part of this now.

Radar shows precip blossoming around Seattle... definitely earlier than expected.     Yielding some surprise frozen precip results too.

The trapped cold air is impressive today.  22 in Lester while it's 28 at Stampede Pass.  Lots of places in the low 30s around the area.

My son is home for break but still going to work in Seattle on a few days.  I told him this morning that the snow will start tomorrow afternoon or evening.   He left for work about 20 minutes ago and just called me from Issaquah to tell me its snowing hard and I don't know anything.    Smart kid.
