Phil
Crazy, maybe Phil’s early April ridging won’t work out. He did allude to the fact that the large scale pattern shift to -NAO might work against it.I still think it will happen, even if it’s shorter lived and/or centered a bit farther west thanks to the low height moat surrounding the anticyclone. Having any kind of downstream blocking does work against western ridging, though. That much is true. And anything is better than a supermassive black hole over Greenland/NE Canada, since that actively promotes western ridging. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
