I'm not sure that's even a c-zone.  I think the prcip is more general than that.

Yeah... ECMWF shows very little in the way of cloudiness late tonight and tomorrow morning.

1 AM Tuesday looks pretty fun on the 18z Euro. Should be particularly great in the Coast range and Cascade foothills especially over 1000ft.

This run gets cold Wednesday morning too, wow. Really hoping for some actual proper sticking snow, this time

Going to be hard to get sticking snow at the lowest elevations with persistent onshore flow without some solid organized showers. But our area is especially prone to shadowing as you know. Would be great if we could get some development with that surface low and have it swing by right to the south, this possibility is still on the table IMO.

It is good to see the last two Euro runs showing a widespread 1 or 2 inches over the metro area, that's never a bad thing.

I think snow in the air with a dusting is the more likely outcome for most but don't think you can rule out 1-2 inches of snow either.

NAM shows a bit of decent precip

Hoping there is some more development with that low on future runs

00z GFS in 35 minutes

Big runs tonight! For PDX metro southward things are looking a bit more promising for snow Monday night into early Tuesday! Long range ensembles are showing a fairly strong signal for a legitimate cold pattern and maybe, just maybe a late Winter blast and snow.

Make sure you grab your favorite beverage, and grab your favorite beverage a favorite beverage. I'm not really sure how to pull that off, but in the end you get TWO of your favorite beverages! Win win! There's probably a GIF floating around in the interwebs of this nonsense. Don't forget your snacks too. C'MON!!!!

If you can figure out a way to do so, absolutely! ....

In other news I cannot find a GIF to represent a beverage getting another beverage or something. I did however find an outstanding new Drunk Uncle GIF! This guy is ELITE level at the limbo.

That guy probably reserves one sleeve in his wallet for a folded printout of the 18z GFS.

Coincidentally, the last time I hosted a party that cold was also the last time I had any guests over.

The meteorological committee of Sharon Springs, KS was one of the largest financial backers for the production of the 96th hour of tonight's 00z GFS.
