F*cking roundabouts...

 

That one is at the end of the I-90 offramp... so you frequently get people wandering through who have no clue what to do and they stop in the middle to let people enter.

Weird don't see rain here

Looks like we're about to get blasted. Rain was hard enough to soak everything.

Mercer Island, 350 ft

2021-2022: 11.6", 02/21

2020-2021: 15.6"

2019-2020: ~10"

2018-2019 winter snowfall total: 29.5"

2017-2018: 9.0", 2016-2017: 14.0"

Looks like we're about to get blasted. Rain was hard enough to soak everything.

 

Models have insisted that monster c-zone right now is not coming any further south and will inch northward through the evening.

You must be in south Bothell?

 

Looks like the southern edge is right on the King County line on 405... but dips a little down towards Shoreline and Edmonds on 5.

I don't know but it is raining right now. Sky is really dark overhead. The hill seems to catch extra moisture.

Looks like the c-zone has begun its shift northward now.

WTF. I went to the bathroom and got some food... last thing I saw was Oregon getting a touchdown to go up 31-7 (they were showing the pylon cam)

 

Came back like 10 minutes later and now its 24-21???

Why do you take video while driving?

 

 

And in the rain too.    I just set the phone on the dashboard.   But I would have been all over my sons for doing that.

Would not surprise me to see them lose @ Cal, vs UW, and @ WSU, then run the table the rest of the way. 8-4 as the 5th place team in the north lol.

Has anyone been following the FV3-GFS?  It is more aggessive with colder air in the PNW, and it doesn't undercut it like the old GFS does.  Not that I really care about the weather at this point, but I do wonder if everyone is following the wrong GFS.  Not too long from now it will replace the GFS.   And it was correct in weakening Florence.

Had a bout of steady drizzle in Everett.

 

On a side note, please for the love of god, get out of the left lane. If someone doing 70 comes up behind you, don’t just chill out at 61 while keeping pace with the semi to your right. It’s not your job to be a speedo justice warrior. You have no idea of the person behind you is seeing a sick family member or trying to make it to work on time.

 

I swear to god everyone in Western Oregon and Western Washington was tought road etiquette by a hippy grandma who believes that going faster than 55 is a crime.

 

Also blinkers. Use them.

In Oregon it's such a stupidly low freeway speed limit so as to write as many tickets as possible to out of staters since there is no sales tax. And it probly slows down the degradation of our embarrassing chipseal highways. Can't hear the person next to you in the car so ODOT can save a few bucks.

      The official H/L yesterday was 76/47 there was 0.17” of rain fall. The highest wind gust was 36 MPH out of the S the sun was out 54% of the time. For today the average H/L is 65/44 the record high of 87 was set in 1938 and 1955. The record low of 26 was set in 1971 and the most rain fall of 2.03” was in 1919. The most snowfall of 1.3” fell in 1954. Last year the H/L was 58/40. Here in MBY I recorded 0.51" of rainfall. The overnight low here was a warm 60 and at the current time it is 61 with some light rain falling.

      The front has moved through the area and temps today will be about 15 degrees cooler than yesterday with highs near normal in the upper 60's. We turn colder than normal for the weekend with high temps struggling to escape the mid 50's for higher spots and upper 50's in lower locales. It will be cloudy with some showers possible most likely on Sunday into Sunday night. We warm back up again by the middle of next week before we cool back down for the week of the 12th with a stretch of below normal readings. Chester County records for today: High 95 degrees at Phoenixville (2018) / Low 28 Devault 1W (1957) / Rain 3.00" Devault 1W (1985)

      First leg done. In the Denver airport and it’s a nice airport I gotta say. Flight for NOLA leaves at 7AM.
