Watching some of you guys freak out over every model run is very entertaining. I got a few cold beers in me and am loving seeing the back and forth. You guys no drama better than TNT.

I got a few cold ones down too, last one got warm while playing Creed on the PS4 VR, cracked another cold one just a bit ago!

Next meaningful precip here per the GFS is on day 10... and even that is not much.   It does show a little bit of light snow on Thursday morning but its gone on the next frame.

 

And not until day 14 per the FV3.

The more I think about it this isn’t all too bad yet. We still have 24-hours, precip usually extends more north than models show, and I have a biting feeling that we’ve reached the southernmost of all landfall possibilities. Especially due to the northward trend on the mesoscales and the UKMET staying strong. Even the GEM isn’t horrible. I think they might keep them for now, and cancel them if the EURO collapses on us.

FWIW, there has not been a single sunspot yet this month..23 consecutive spotless days. Easily the longest spotless streak of the current solar minimum (so far).

 

Just need to string 5 more together and the entire month of February will pass without a sunspot.

I would say 80% of the time things trend north within 24-36 hours. I like where we are sitting right now.

If not for the mesoscale models I would be a bit more pessimistic. But I love that those trended further north (and wetter). As long as EURO doesn’t fall...
