Omegaraptor
The GFS is showing that the 11th will be a brief return to winter with chilly stratiform drizzle and highs possibly not even breaking 50. If this verifies it would be about 10ºF below normal for the daily high. The ECMWF is showing a warmer solution, however. The Plains region (including Denver) will be cold on that day, complete with snow, at least on the GFS.
TacomaWaWx
Storm wind wise busted big time The winds were advertised to be 45-50mph near the sound and on the coast. It ended up being a quick 20 minute burst here but it was cool to see. The winds were about 50mph I would estimate similar to the winds I saw on December 14th, but not as strong as December 20th or January 6th. Winds lasted longer in the other windstorms, this was much shorter than the storms that occurred earlier this winter. It was a very localized quick burst of wind. I video taped the winds when they came through at about 12:45-1:10.
