Requiem
18z NAM is horrible. Too bad the cell currently in the Eugene area is going to trend east leaving us high and dry while Cascade Locks gets to enjoy endless storms. They’re guaranteed precipitation with every single event. It's quite good, plenty of strong thunderstorms east of the Cascades and on the crests. You never know, these models can't really pin down exacts. High Desert Mat?
Pea sized hail here in Redmond around 1:30 this afternoon with a torrential downpour. Recorded just over 1/2” in about 15 min. Been on and off thunder since then and now it’s partly sunny again. Looks to be some high tops building to the sw of me again. Forecast discussion mentions this could go in til sunset. Then a slight chance tomorrow with spotty showers. Love Central Oregon for t-storms in the summer and snowfall potential in the winter. Fall and spring kind of suck though. TacomaWaWx
Wasn’t expecting lightning but was hopefully so it’s alright that it didn’t pan out. I was however expecting atleast some rainfall more than we’ve had this month. Only had 0.01” which brings the monthly total up to 0.11”. That is a bit disappointing but maybe we will have better luck over the next couple days.
