VancouverIslandSouth
Doesn’t snow much up there. How about St. Anthony? Similar summer temperatures/rains perhaps with more thunderstorms and very stormy/snowy winters.
Phil
The GEM just swung in the troughy direction too. Maybe the ECMWF will follow suit. Seems ridging has been stuck at D9-10 on the models for the last month. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

VancouverIslandSouth
Day after day of freezing fog and freezing drizzle thru winter and spring. Sounds perfect To be fair to St Anthony I actually really enjoyed my trip there, it has an amazing re-created Viking settlement and great people. There are way less bugs in NF than anywhere in the eastern mainland (steer clear of Labrador in that respect). We had a good mix of sun/storms jumping between provincial campgrounds there. Also the scenery in that area is nothing to scuff at:

I still don't trust any of it... its been so long since we have seen any consistent sun that it feels sort of impossible right now. That cool down into the 80s down there on day 10 looks a little suspicious given the 500mb pattern. TT-SEA
That's great news. It's already sunny down here. The sunshine is going to be in full force the next several days. Get your outdoor activities planned! Its unusually bright here this morning. I took the dog out and actually had to squint my eyes. Very strange. It almost feels like a summer morning... but I know that is crazy given how early in the year it is. Or late. My sense of seasons is all messed up by a complete lack of sunlight.
