Downsloped and warmed a bit but it was still only like 26F. Yeah that kind of 33 me. Totally ate a ton of the precip, snowed all day on the 6th and only amounted to about 2", thankfully there was a quick burst and we got about 3" additional snow in an hour before the precip shut off. In fact in 2016 we did not even have a freeze until early December. The most freezes at the park in the 21st Century in October were in 2006 when they recorded 7. He doesn't base a large part what he claims to like or not like on what he thinks will get under certain people's skin, or push some sort of agenda about the "correct" way to think. And yeah, the 1946-47 winter tends to get overlooked a lot, mostly due to the insane stretch that started a few years later. Maybe that was the warning shot winter.
