The trees are full of leaves down here as they are nearing there peak.  This much heavy wet snow could be a problem for them.

Going bare here. A few few trees still have phenomenal colors on them, but not for long. After these strong winds that my area will encounter w this storm coming, by Friday 80% will have nothing left on them.

Unfortunately it's an outlier at the moment. Most of that snow back my way happens from backside wrap-around due to the more wound-up solution the GFS portrays. Not betting for or against it, but right now it is not the favored outcome so keeping my anticipation for anything historic in check attm. 

 

WestMJim on the other hand looks golden  ;)

GRR isn't thrilled.  Mostly cold rain and a little light snow thursday night/friday morning.  Better chance will be with the clipper that follows for west Michigan.

Shocking news!  GRR not thrilled with a synoptic storm painting 4+ inches in their back yard, but have jumped on a Clipper that will certainly deliver LEShowers.. :rolleyes:

UK backslid a bit again.  We needed a favorable trend this morning, so I'm not hopeful we will end up with much out of this.

season snowfall: 34.8"

Like I mentioned earlier today; most of IA has seen more snow from the 1st wave than will be from the 2nd. But congrats further E and S.

12z NAm 12km has flakes flying here for approx 9 hrs with a decently wound system. That'd be nice to see even if accum's are limited by all this warmth and rain expected before transitioning.

Thanks bud. Say, I don't have a good read on what kind of SLP track/strength the Euro is showing. Anyone got any clues on that? Is weather.us map site still free and if so, does it show the Euro surface forecast maps or just 500mb at 24 hr intervals like TT? Thx.

Yes, that site shows all sorts of wx maps. You’ll find it quite useful for a free site.

Yeah, thx!   Rain or snow at that point, kiddies not gonna be happy! One year I was a scarecrow for Halloween (yeah back when we made-up costumes from scratch) and it rained. My dried corn stalks got all soaked and droopy..totally ruined what started out as a nice looking gig
