SilverFallsAndrew
I will say, even though this troughy pattern hasn’t been memorable at all at the surface compared to what was progged at points (at least for down here), I am very grateful it got mountain snowpack up to average right at the start of ablation season. In the foothills it has been somewhat notable. Dustings of snow March 31-April 2. SLE with -6 and -7 departures the past two days and a sub-freezing low this morning. Jesse
I was looking at the April thread from two years ago (2018) the other night out of curiosity. Around this time back then everyone was marveling at the winter-like cold in the upper Midwest. We even got brushed with some of it, and PDX fell to 34 degrees on the morning of the 3rd while record lows (in some cases late season records) fell across Montana. I hit 30 that morning. Deweydog
I can’t say I’ve been looking at the models too much as of late (it’s spring) but with all the bed-shitting reactions I expected it to be a wall to wall smorgasbord of cold spring-killing temps near 80. But I know...tracking weather is dumb and keeping track of coronadeaths is also dumb.
