TT-SEA
Sunday is wet and cold day for western WA... it shows upper 50s to near 60 in Seattle which probably means 62 or 63. But the good news (for the "heat misers") is that the models are trending much faster with the ULL in general and its already nice again by Monday. MV_snow
Any proof backing up the “more significant than usual” claim? Sounds a little shaky/subjective. By far, the most notable aspect of the last several warm seasons has been the unusual REGIONAL warmth and dryness. That goes for the whole area covered by this sub forum, whether you’re talking north and east of Seattle or south and west of Portland.I admit it’s mostly anecdotal, but there have been many times where we’re socked in with clouds / drizzle when OR posters have talked about it being a pleasant, partly cloudy day down there. Some rain and drought maps posted have backed that up. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for WA posters to root for warm, sunny weekends when those have been hard to come by recently, just like I don’t think it’s unreasonable for OR posters to be concerned about drought. Timmy Supercell
Absolutely beautiful outside in Everett. 70º and only a whiff of cloud in the sky. Tonight is going to be great for some astronomy and an outside chance at some noctilucent clouds. Are those theoretically more noticeable at higher elevations? I should keep an eye out.
