Starting to look like the month ends pretty warm. Yet another above average month.

Well we had a slightly below-average Feb and March down here so there's that...yay?

Dec-Jan have a multi-year agreement with mother nature to not deliver goodies south of Seattle and are typically torch-fests down this way anymore.

Looking like it’ll be average to just slightly above average at this point atleast at this location. We will see though.

06z GFS actually wasn't half bad for next weekend. Ridge maintains just enough influence to keep the trough over BC from dropping down until Monday. Result is partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the low to mid 70s. Yes please.

Too bad it's the 06z and therefore, cannot be trusted.

Euro has been trending that way too.

I don't believe it yet... the models have been underestimating the strength and speed of troughs all month.

Heavy drizzle and 52 degrees currently.

.17” on the day, 3.28” on the month, 36.47” for the year.

I much preferred yesterday morning...It was 10 degrees warmer and dry.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Did not take long to see that hope start to evaporate... 12Z GFS is much less ridgy.   A ridge like that never holds up for very long.

Now it’s supposed to rain next Sunday according to the gfs. I’m starting to worry a bit about the 4th of July and this weekend curse we’re stuck in.

Hearing our first cicadas of the year in Klamath! I can't recall if this is right on time, or a few weeks late. I think last year I heard them on June 1st the morning after a thunderstorm.

High of 70 with 0.26” at HIO. Surprisingly good total.

The last year I spent in Hillsboro (2010) we had some good late spring soakers. 0.26" isn't that surprising to me. :P

Or was 2010 just unusual. ;)

I also can recall an epicly wet early Fall that year I think.

How is the 4th looking Tim?  Arctic blast?

Would not surprise me one bit to see all of this troughing culminate with the ultimate super soaker of a storm that starts about 7am on the 4th and doesn't let up until the 5th.

That's just how 2020 has been rolling.

You’re ahead of us, then. Still just birds and frogs imby.

Models have not looked too bad recently for the weekend of the 4th... but there is plenty time for that to change.    I assume by later this week we will see a massive ULL show up in the models for that weekend.

I think at this point getting a like from Timmy Supercell is kind of like checking the mailbox there only being some coupons from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Not looking forward to my analogy.

The koldness of the troughing seems to fade pretty quickly by day 10 on the Euro. Some pretty typical late June stuff on the way. Mostly warm days mixed with some cool ones. The fact that it is anything less an unrelenting blowtorch at this point is definitely a pretty hard pill to swallow, though.

Always worrying about people's preferences! It never ends.

Hoping for a weekend without rain is not being too unreasonable at this point in the year. Next weekend will be the 5th in a row with rain. That is a pretty unusual streak for summer. But it is what it is. We talk weather here.
