Tyler Mode
My coolest average high temp for the first 5 days of July since 2012. 72 degrees. Tyler Mode
Something I find interesting, my mean temperature (61.6) for June has been the same the last 3 years, however, they were all achieved different ways. You can't just look at temperature to judge how the month was overall. 2018: Average high 75, well above normal, but the average low was 48, well below normal. Typical during a drier than normal month, and it was the driest June I've recorded.2019: Similar to 2018, the average high was 74, 1 degree above normal, but the low was 1 degree below normal. This yielded the same mean temp.2020: Opposite of 2018 and 2019, June was very wet. This means cloudier than normal skies which keeps the overnight low temps warmer, but the daytime high temps cooler.

A couple people on here talk about monthly departures like its an absolute criteria for everyone who likes warm weather. The monthly temp stats are interesting but don't tell me much without seeing the details. A month that ends up warmer than normal but had rain on 70% of the days is far from ideal in my opinion. Timmy Supercell
From July 5 to July 14 2015 was an incredible stretch of thunderstorms in Klamath Falls. 8 out of those 10 days (5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th) I had storms in town. It had potential to break the record consecutive # of thunder days in the area (record is 9 consecutive thunders in 2009, May 28 - June 5). The setup was just perfect in southern Oregon, made some of the heat that summer tolerable. These were not dry storms, one of the days I can remember shopping at Haggen around 1pm, when I exited the store there's a stream of water an inch high on roads. Pouring so hard we had to move the car closer to the front entrance as to not get all the groceries wet. Two of the days I had vicinity severe, one of them with a shelf cloud to my north (moving south) and the storm was bowing on doppler radar. 1 Quote Ashland, KY Weather '23-'24 Winter Snowfall - 5.50" First freeze: 11/1 (32) Minimum: 2 on 1/17 Measurable snows: 4 Max 1 day snow: 3" (1/19) Thunders: 16 1/27, 1/28, 2/10, 2/22, 2/27, 2/28, 3/5, 3/6, 3/14, 3/15 3/26, 3/30, 3/31, 4/2, 4/3, 4/8, Severe storms: 2 ------------------------------------------------------- [Klamath Falls, OR 2010 to 2021] https://imgur.com/SuGTijl

Omegaraptor
You seem to think it’s a sufficiently “interesting” pattern maybe 1% of the time. Just saying. This year has been largely devoid of anything interesting weather-wise. One vicinity thunderstorm with no visible flashes from here, no significant wind, no significant rain events, and no temperatures below 26 (at PDX). The highlight of this year so far is half an inch of wet slop in March. Summer 2019 had plenty of interesting patterns that delivered convection and thunder. And also a very pleasant summer in general. Remember the 6/27 storm? Constant thunder and lightning here for over an hour. It was epic.
