All the moisture hitting you stretched south a little last night, giving us .45" yesterday, and another .08" since midnight.  Not 2.10" but I'll take it nonetheless.

I was more than a little worried that it would wander north and leave me mostly left out of the action.

Instead, the trend of things heading south at the last minute seems to have still applied. Which, given the more northerly track of this AR, is good news for southern BC.

There's a small chance I could get my first freeze a week from now. It could be really close. Question. If you get something like 32.2, 32.4F etc, do you round down to 32F or do you wait until 32.0F or lower to count as your first freeze?

Standard rounding rules: round down. At least that’s what I would do. It’s why I didn’t record a single-digit low last winter; I think I bottomed out at 9.5 or 9.6˚F. So it cuts both ways.

Average date for the first snow in Stockholm is 20 Nov, but sometimes it happens in late October:

Nice day at one of our water treatment sites near Highway 18/I-90. Little too close to Tim for comfort unfortunately. Was very wet up here on Monday.

Will have to run the numbers when I get home later today, but we’re at about 2.75” MTD. Had 0.70” on Monday and 0.07” yesterday.

OK, so given @Chewbacca Defense's report, we know the southern edge of the action is in Whatcom County.

Those Euro maps over the last few days turned out to be surprisingly accurate.

4.92" MTD IMBY, over half of which is from the current ongoing event.

The great inversion of January 2013 actually caused Lake Goodwin to begin freezing over.

The highest wind speed on the BC coast with yesterdays storm was 106mph at Sartine Island. 
 

The rain event is ongoing but at last report Tofino was at 6” with amounts of 8”+ in some of the upslope areas near there.

55 breezy and grey skies up here with winds out of the north.  The sky is brighter off to the south but still pretty thick here.  KBLI is showing broken at 5,000 feet, overcast at 6,000 feet.  CYVR is overcast at 1,500 feet.  Assuming it stays like this, we will be lucky to see 60.
