The Californian intrusions will continue. 

Portland could reach 80 this week, which is hot there. 70 is a heatwave in Eureka, CA which unlike Newport, OR has never hit 90.

temps. Well above average rainfall. I believe PDX was officially above normal on temps and below normal for rain.

Californians can't tolerate cold weather. PNWers can't tolerate hot weather. Both areas have Mediterranean climates.

Also October averages warmer than May in Southern California.

12z gfs isn’t awful. About 2-2.5” of rain here over the first half of October. Not terrible. A few nice days for Tim’s garden to wind down the season.

Last year about this time we were dealing with weeklong power shut offs to avoid a calamity. Can’t imagine the bitching we would have heard from you if you had to be on generator power for days on end due to fire danger. I’ll take this.

Nice deflection.    Our big power outage was almost 2 decades now.    I was a kid back then.    Obviously this year is different and not every sunny period is the end of world.   And you and your partner in crime complain all the time.   😀

That honestly seems to be your goal most days.   I am at the nursing home today so not real busy when my dad is sleeping.   At least we got him outside in the courtyard this afternoon.  He really enjoyed that.

Nice to see tomorrow’s rain event getting beefed up a little on the models.

Also starting to look like we won’t have to endure too much misery next week before a rainy pattern returns. Although it wouldn’t surprise me to see the ridgy pattern get extended.

Thu to Sat could hit 80 with Friday being the best chance right now.
