The same map was actually colder than normal up here. Not that it matters... its a day 5 map from ECMWF which should be fine no matter what. 1 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

Phil
Just now, snow_wizard said: If the MJO wave holds together when it gets to region 7 we have a decent chance late month. I’m surprised guidance isn’t at least hinting at further disruptions to the PV with a high amplitude phase-7 MJO. That’s usually a good phase for wave driving. But the in-situ environment (reflective, equatorward fluxes) probably explains that. If the SSW had waited another 2-3 weeks we’d be looking at a huge NAM flip right now. Once the thaw starts here week-2 I’ll probably have to wait for the MJO to reach phase 8/1 for more excitement. I expect a coast to coast torch for 2 weeks before discontinuous retrogression of the CONUS ridge begins. But I hope I’m wrong about that. 5 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
