Or the actual snow hole over mine.

In Sacramento tonight and it's been pouring the last several hours and rain all day. As for my location back home it looks like winter is over there.

You could tell pretty early on the minor tweaks were going to dig the trough over us better.

What I like about this GFS run is the energy from the cutoff phases with the cold front and really juices it up.

Hopefully we can get more out of this possible cold shot than just a passing trough.  The pattern shown would only be a snow producer for a very small area and.not any of the lowlands. It's a good mountain pattern for snow atleast.

Up to about 9" of snow depth now! 22 degrees currently and a high temp of 28. Here's a few pics of the snow from earlier

I’ve given up on this winter.  I only hope the mountain snow pack can make a decent recovery in March/April.

East slopes of the Cascades with offshore flow is always a winner when moisture is present.

I see a cool trough and a great mountain snow maker. High in the lowlands 37-43 lows 32-35. Not really a snow pattern for late Feb early March.  We could see snow showers at night though.

Convergence zone area could win big. It’s happened in April. Balance out the king county snow drought of this winter. Though places with elevation did get an inch with last event.

Yeah, it takes a fairly exceptional pattern to get widespread lowland snow after 2/20.

Would be rather unlucky for this many cold troughs to drop out of the northwest and not have one produce a strong convergence zone.

Some big winds directly south of that low pressure. Even in to the mid 70s! Very active weather coming up no matter what happens. Mountains being buried is guaranteed.
