In 2006 some places dropped into the upper teens on Halloween morning.  For some stations that year had the all time record low for October.  I still think 1984 gets the nod for the coldest Halloween I've witnessed though...just for an all around cold day.  Obviously 1935 is the gold standard though.

It was the first Halloween with my now wife, that was when she learned of my addiction to winter weather, thank god she appreciates it, especially since she spent several years in Iowa and extreme weather, blizzards etc... she did not enjoy that at all.

Yep. My guess is we'll see a bit more time of relatively mild conditions and then the hammer will just drop. Impossible to say when that'll be though but hopefully late November...

It almost sounds like you have the worst possible microclimate where you live.  So far I'm at 50/37 for the day.  It sounds like you have endless overperforming temps there.

Tonight's the night for the east wind areas to be cold.  North winds down the Sound will deaden the east winds in places like where we live.  Tomorrow night we will probably be breezy while places that are milder / breezy tonight will be colder.
