Not too often you see a day where it's 30 here and 43 in OLM unless it's an Arctic front which today obviously isn't.  Classic weak offshore flow inversion today.

I think the GFS is off on one of its weird tangents the last few runs.

Foggy here. Hoping it burns off and we get some sun but this morning’s afd doesn’t have me too hopeful. Currently 40 degrees.

10 degrees colder here with thick fog.  I think some of the colder low level air will begin to filter into your area by tomorrow.

Looks like King County is inversion central today.  Even SEA is only at 36 and North Bend is only at 29

Not many fog fans on here.  I like a good round every season.

Crystal clear here and 38 with an east wind starting to pick up.   Might have been the only night with frost out here.    Looks like at least 5 or 6 sunny days ahead.      Low clouds don't look real solid over the Seattle area... likely going to be sunny in most places by afternoon.

We'll see.  Not seeing many holes in the inversion right now.  Even the fire training academy isn't above it.

Its totally sunny out here.    I can see the area around the fire academy from my front window.    Tomorrow is going to be quite warm even in the valley here.

The low cloud coverage is not real solid... it looks like it will clear out later in the Seattle area.

Was sunny at my house, super thick fog as soon as I got down about 100’ down the street, also on I-5 until the Anderson exit. Sunny here in Mt Vernon where I am currently at.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Looking at the models some not good signs but 95% of the time leading up to events we see waffling on the models. It’s incredibly rare to not have some bad runs mixed in especially at this range.

Tacoma WA elevation 300’

Monthly rainfall-3.56”

Warm season rainfall-11.14”

Max temp-88

+80 highs-2

+85 highs-2

Live view looking east here... towards Snoqualmie Pass.   The fire academy is right in the middle of this pic and we often see plumes of smoke rising from that area.

Pretty mild in the Willamette Valley. Down to 33 up here at least.

Just checked out the 00z CFS. Wall to wall blow torch through February.

Winter is saved.

Hit 5 this morning, coldest of the season. This was only the 2nd low in the single digits, but I bet western KY has had temps below zero.

13 here. D**n downsloping.

Until 2020 we reliably dropped into the single digits almost every winter. Haven’t done it since 2019.

The GFS is (and has always been) trash.

12 GEFS has plenty of potential still. Check out vs 6 and 00z and the spaghetti shows lots of lowballers

12z much better. Larger cold pool and improved ridge axis.

Hope so….driving back north today from PDX

Hard to predict... the low clouds between OLM and PDX look like its about to break up on the satellite loop and the sun is now coming out in Seattle.    But some places will probably get stuck in the fog for most of the day.

I am ready!   Dry weather in February is usually not a good sign for later in spring.   A wet February and March is better.
