With the shift across guidance, has come a more niña-like regime (projected) in tropical forcing. Still dominated by MJO/subseasonal conponents, but no hints of that niño-like LF signal near the dateline anymore.
It’s still relatively early, but perhaps the upcoming gyration in the pattern will mark the end of residual niño elements to the system state, and the onset of more systematic -ENSO tendency.
Which would be unfortunate for CA/SW US, though hopefully the last 2yrs have offerred some degree of insurance.
If there’s any saving grace for them, it’s that we don’t have that ridiculously wide & poleward WHEM-NPAC ITCZ/HC system that we saw in 2021 and 2022 (and 2017), so we *should* avoid that beastly, north-shifted 4CH pattern that roasted the SW/Interior West without relent. But I doubt it’ll be enough to avoid widespread above normal departures just about everywhere.
Just to mention a few things. When I was growing up, people in general were patriotic and felt blessed to live in one of the greatest countries in the world. People were willing to risk their lives to preserve our freedoms. There was freedom of religion and freedom of speech. The following principles guided our country
E pluribus unum (Out of many, one) - People used to assimilate to our culture and our moral standards (Judeo-Christian values). Today being required to do so is offensive. Instead we have moral relativism (no absolute moral standards, everyone does what is right in their own eyes)
Inalienable rights granted by our Creator or Nature's God (today government has become the highest authority and replaced God)
Limited government, separation of powers (I'll partially have to blame Bush and the Republicans for this one, when they passed the Patriot Act after 9/11, which greatly expanded the power of the federal government)
But Obama and the Democrats said the country had to be "fundamentally transformed" years before Trump walked down the escalator.
When you marry someone, after you say, “I do,” do you then say, “Now that I have you, I want you to fundamentally transform, to be a totally different person. I don’t love you, per se, I love the person I can now turn you into”
Before 2008 we had none of these things
Calling rich people, white people, men, parents who don't agree with gender ideology "oppressors" and child abusers. Calling poor people, people of color, women and children of conservative parents "victims" and teaching them they have no hope to succeed in America
People being humiliated, censored, fired or even arrested for saying there are only two genders and marriage should be between a man and a woman
Punishing doctors who don't prescribe to the government prescribed narrative of how to treat COVID
Calling people racists and white supremacists simply for venerating our founding fathers or being patriotic
Professors calling the Constitution and Declaration of Independence "trash"
Arresting peaceful January 6 protestors and giving them harsh prison sentences while allowing some of the George Floyd rioters to go free
Pro-lifers being arrested and considered "a threat to our democracy"
The FBI spying on churches to see what pastors are teaching about homosexuality and abortion
Violent protests on college campuses that endanger students
Wide-open borders allowing an overwhelming influx of unvetted foreigners, along with human traffickers, drug pushers, killer gangs, and dangerous diseases
Males claiming to be females to win swimming meets and track races against girls
Graphic sex literature being made available to kindergarteners and young elementary school children
Boys and girls being told they can medically and surgically change their sex if it “feels right,” even without parental consent
Bible studies being banned in public schools, conservative students on college campuses being hated by other students and most professors and afraid to express their views
Nothing in that list has to do with Obama's skin color. Democrats today simply hate America and make it known publicly by refusing to sing the national anthem in public sporting events or the Olympics, posting "death to America" signs on college campuses and saying racism is just as bad today as it was in the era of slavery. They claim capitalism is racist and that we must rob rich people via redistribution of wealth to help the poor and solve disparities between white people and people of color. They claim to care for the poor, but support lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and crazy climate change measures which actually harm the poor and the marginalized.
And you are bringing up October without understanding what led up to it. I do not condone what happened at all, but your "blame on both sides" argument falls flat and tells me that you lack contextual knowledge. You can turn on any news channel you like and be bathed in the American sanitized version. You don't need me for that.
That I am having this conversation with you and your equating me with Andrew tells me all I want to know about you. I have never advocated for the deaths of any Israeli civilians, but you go ahead with your nonsense.
And with that, I am done. I feel like I am wasting my time here, when I could be spending it with my family. Nobody ever said they wished they spent more time arguing online while on their death bed.
