No model is showing a wet pattern continuing. If the ECMWF is right... we will have rain out here on almost every day in June even if the last few days end up dry (day 10-15). I am trying to find a year that can match the historical data locally in terms of persistent rain. 2010 was bad and still does not match. Can you think of a year for me to check? Trying to find another year with no more than a 2-day break in the rain from April - June. That takes incredible persistence in the overall pattern. Not sure it exists. 1 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

I haven't found one yet. Maybe I am missing something though. You are the stats king on here! For number of rainy days (.01" or more) from April 1 to May 31, it looks like Cedar Lake is at 56. That is a record for them, but 1984 is close with 53. June 1984 was also a wet month, so that spring would probably be the best comparison to this in terms of persistence out there, along with 2010.

Thanks for confirming this is a record. I realize the data for the station has not been updated for this month. But to add to the record... there has only been 1 day without rain so far in June. The second half of June in 1984 had 9 days without rain at that station. We won't even come close to that this year... so the new record from April-June will be even more impressive. Of course July of 1984 had 30 out of 31 days without measureable rain at the Cedar Lake station. Only 1 day with rain and a monthly total of .03 That would be amazing. 1 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

The Swamp
The pattern we have been in for what seems like an eternity will eventually ease and some nice summer weather will take hold. It will feel like a much shorter summer this year though as we have lost so many potential days with 70's and sun to endless clouds and extremely wet weather. A very strange pattern we've been in for sure.
