Still waiting on the colder air mass  Frustrating at times when the snow stops and you have to wait through the day to get to clearing skies to freeze everything up good... even though there is a cold air mass above. TT-SEA
Looking at web cams... that sure is a dreary c-zone of drizzle and dark skies from Tacoma eastward. C-zone did end up down there finally but it did not matter since its too weak and the air mass is warmer than originally shown.  This whole 'event' lost its edge and became too wimpy.  Dewey saw that coming a week ago.   We would do well to heed his forecasting prowess.  Like I said... when Dewey gets excited then I am excited. Snowman5678
The c-zone that won't die.   Seriously, too bad it hasn't been able to produce any real snow here except for a wet rain snow mix.  Disgusting out there right now. Abbotsford_wx
Merry Christmas everyone. It's another green Christmas here, but it was painfully close... I had snow/rain mix most of the day yesterday while east of me in Chilliwack had accumulating snow. Had it been about 1F colder here I would have snow on the ground right now. MossMan
Well this 'event' was everything but. Nothing like two/three days of 35° rain. Stupidly frustrating.  Although I know it's only December, the ensembles sure have an El Nino look for the foreseeable future and given how the past year of large-scale patterns have gone, it will probably stay that way for a while. Really hoping for a good mid/late January to make up for the past few days. On another note, Merry Christmas to all!Well we had some excellent Februarys back in the late 1980's, and even just a few years ago....winter has just begun. Or perhaps a nice January 1996 or 2007?? El Niño or not...anything is possible!Merry Christmas! crf450ish
Seeing all these posts about how frustrated people are about the lack of snow and the "teasing" nature of the weather the last few days has reminded me of how frustrated I used to be all the time, all winter long, every year, for 20+ years of my life whilst living in western wa. So glad I'm not there anymore. The rain is like cancer to me. It's just eats away at my mind until I start to go crazy
