Probably will be us here in Milwaukee.  Would much prefer the snow, but I guess after all the cold rain we've had this month, I'll accept the ice (though I think sleet will be the more predominant precip type thankfully).

 

Would be interesting getting inches of sleet. A very unique situation with the significant dynamic cooling predicted and strong northeast flow.

Like WildWisconsin mentioned, if we are to get sleet if no snow, bring it....it would be a seriously bad combo having freezing rain with high winds.  Power outages galore.  No bueno.

Yeah, even though standard is a 3:1 ratio, at least sleet can accumulate and appears as snow.  The only annoying thing is the crackling sound as they ping off windows/windshields.

Not sure what to think about this yet. Was hoping to not pay attention for a day or two, but sitting at home with a sick 6week old missing out on the days festivities. Hoping for a little southeast shift, but my guess is it gets more wound up and heads even farther nw.

That low he was drawing on the map would be an ULL. That's 700mb. ... or even 500mb.

Here knows what an Arklatex low is but this one isn't even close to being one.

Looks good for us, doesn't look like there is much shifting to the south and east from last night.

I think it's going to come back east of the river on later runs. EURO did that on the November snowstorm, wandered on its original track and then came back.

Ever since the busts last year with the EURO, I've been cautious with it 72-96 hours out.

It's been amazing how consistent the Euro has been, I mean that's like 3 days in a row with pretty much the same path. There was a little change from run to run, but nothing like the 350 mile change the GFS has been doing!! I'm liking it!

12z Euro is even farther NW and showing no snow for IA/WI/SE ME now...that precip is more than likely sleet/freezing rain in C IA/S&C WI...
