So if you want to know just what a PATHETIC EPIC FAIL of an airmass this is, look no further than the 12z balloon data. -6.7C 850mb temps over Salem. Only -8.3C over Forks. Absolutely lame. December's airmass bottomed out at -10.1C at SLE. I don't think this is even as cold as the initial airmass in January 2013, January 2012, or January 2011...Unreal.

He adjusted the temps up early yesterday or the day before that.  He did go with the colder solutions earlier but didn't stay with it too long.

12Z ECMWF has some precip right up to Portland tomorrow.

Biggest snowfall for them since January 2012 and probably the longest solid snowcover since December 2008.
