The Gem and GFS still showing generous amounts. This is a Super Bowl comeback.

How long does it show the precip lasting.  I'm not even going to look at a model tonight.

Yeah, you should have had a wind-swept eight inches by now.

Everywhere else is getting nailed.  Over 5 years of this crap now.

WRF shows back edge through us around midnight... this is the midnight to 1 a.m. time frame..   It does show another batch of moisture around 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Ugh, familiar pattern here, snowing everywhere else on the Island north of 10 miles from here, right down to sea level. Cloudy with very light drizzle here at 39F. I'm not sure how we're still getting shadowed under SE flow aloft, can't say I'm surprised though. Nice to see some snow reports from the Puget Sound, this is going to be a pretty amazing event down there.

You still missing out? Picked up 4" here this afternoon.

WRF shows it over 40 tomorrow at 1 p.m. for areas south of Seattle with a good southerly wind.     Areas to the north of Seattle appear to stay cold.

That is earlier than what the operational shows...I would say back edge by midnight would be the absolute earliest. And that's looking at current satellite/radar as well.

I know you sre obssessed, but can you please maybe let us enjoy tonight without posts about the supposed south wind tomorrow?

It would be greatly appreciated.

Its interesting for areas to the north and the line is farther south than the ECMWF showed... and pertinent to precip type in all of the post-frontal activity.

Do you remember Dec 2005? I believe that storm brought close to 10" to South Hill, 5-6" at the Valley Floor.

This night is looking very similar.

Different here for sure.
