Jim is sitting back with a glass of wine and a big fat cigar right now. And Tim is angry.

Angry?

I have a winter wonderland and watching the Super Bowl.    Does not get much better.

I'm actually kind of worried.  it's just not as cold here as a lot of places and it's still struggling to stick.  The 850s drop later so that should help.  Still looking like it might not do as well here as a lot of places.

Very strange... some lightly falling wet snow here but just drove down the hill and went through rain at around 600-800 feet and then heavy snow down at the valley floor and sticking.   Much heavier snow at 450 feet than up here.   Not sure how... thinking maybe warm nose?

I wouldn't worry. It's only 5 o'clock.

Should be sticking nicely there in an hour or two.

If there was not another flake of snow here tonight... I would be perfectly happy.   Either way is fine.  Somehow I doubt that will be the case and I am sure schools will be closed.

And this is obviously the warm nose up the Cascade foothills that the WRF began advertising yesterday.

I am a bit worried too.  It has been snowing big wet flakes here off and on most of the day with nothing to show for it.

If you've seen a snow blob mixed in the rain today you have kicked my butt. I actually expect nothing at all here tonight.

Seems that the epicenter of this waaah was somewhere near Silverton, OR. That's some powerful crying.

Never expected any snow so I don't care. I would have loved to have had that 60-65 degree weather Roseburg got! Could have actually gotten some work done around the house.

I love Lady Gaga or at least I did circa 2009-2011.

It really has seemed out to lunch in regards to this whole event. It wasn't until this morning/early afternoon that it started to show the band more northward than just over Portland. It also showed switch over not happening until 8-10PM, which is obviously wrong.

It never does well with precip type or snow totals. But there does appear to be a back edge on the coastal radar now. Who knows though... could easily stall in place too.

Looks like about half of the moisture will be through before it finally really sticks here.  Later when the wind shifts to NW in response to the low it should kick in good here.  I'm definitely disappointed with this part of the event.  Maybe the enhanced snowfall some models show for King County tomorrow morning will make up for it.

How's it looking out there. Temp? Falling to sticking ratio?

I hope she doesn't do some anti American political stunt.  Wouldn't surprise me at all.

The temp dropped to 34.0, but it's half rain now.
