I’ll always remember this windstorm. Was in high school. Parents’ house in Enumclaw and the roof shingles tore off. Trees down everywhere and power out for days. What a storm.

Late February and early March 2019 sort of had that on a much weaker level, but most of the meatier airmasses that have flirted with the region in the last 5 years have been border huggers that never developed particularly impressive high pressure into eastern WA.

Somehow we have wet snow here now and it appears to be snowing down in North Bend too... its also windy and that must still be an east wind.    Very unusual to see snow here with the 925mb temp above 0C.    We can have rain with -1C with a south wind or light precip... but the east wind makes it much easier.
