My ambient weather station rain guage is broken and the unit is 2 years old. My Davis pro station is 18 years old yes 18! And everything still works. I do not like the ambient, difficult to navigate and figure out all the features. One of my great pet peeves. Most things are total sheit now. I have learned to go out of my way to buy the best when I buy just about anything. Saves a lot of grief and money in the long run. Finally ended up spending $20.00 on a pair of nail clippers recently to get some that actually worked well. One thing I've noticed in recent years is they make the cords so damn short on most things you have to have an extension cord to go with it. Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! MR.SNOWMIZER
It definitely comes down to personal preference when working outside. I'll take the cold all day over the heat. I have a bunch of logger friends that would agree with me. Nothing worse that lugging a saw around the woods when it's 90 degrees, I've done it and it sucks. But a frozen jobsite in a construction zone is no fun either! 1 Quote We come from the land of the ice and snow.

Jim said he has disdain for people who like mild weather. Not sure I actually believe that... but I don't get that part.
