I think if things still keep improving, later this next week is when the forum will start getting busier again. I really want CFS support though, and it’s just not happening each run.

Puget Sound Lowlands = 25th coldest

East Slopes Cascades = 18th coldest

 

Nov and Dec

PSL = 6th coldest

ESC = 5th coldest

Saying that something will happen 100% seems kind of ridiculous though I definitely think we'll see something.

The Okanogan was really cold.

Dec = 9th coldest

Nov and Dec = 2nd coldest

There is some exceptional cold in Siberia right now.  Apparently he thinks that might move.

The ECMWF temperature output for the next 10 days is pretty lame in spite of chilly 850s at times.  Kind of disappointing.

High of 48 for the day here, we never got southerlies overnight so we avoided the warm spike that PDX experienced.

Rain and 43 now. Nice to have things feel more wintery again.

Lovely drive to Bellingham over the last 2 hours.   Partly sunny and dry with a temp between 50-52 most of the way.   Currently 54 in North Bend.

I am guessing there will be some more 50s over the next 10 days.

Jim would be just fine with it being 70 degrees across the eastern 2/3rds of the county the entire winter if it was cold in Covington .

That event was nothing short of jaw dropping.  I read there was an unofficial backyard temp reading of -10 in Woodland Park in Seattle, and a -15 in Skagit County.  Fraser River froze over very solidly.  And of course about 4 feet of snow in a one week period in Seattle.  It was so cold a meat market in Seattle was forced to use saws and axes to cut the meat they sold to customers.

And that was after a 29" snowstorm in Downtown Portland in December! Then another 31.8" of snow from 1893-01-26 to 1893-02-08. Wow
