Rod Hill currently going for 1-4 inches of snow at PDX Tuesday night.

 

TUESDAY: Near record lows in the 20s, early sunshine will give way to increasing cloud cover and possible afternoon light snow or a light shower mix. Colder temperatures after dark and likely snow accumulations of 1-4", including downtown Portland. Southeast winds 5-15 mph.

 

WEDNESDAY: Possible early snow, otherwise becoming partly cloudy with light winds. Wednesday night will see an increasing chance of snow.

 

THURSDAY: Possible early snow of a trace to an inch, becoming partly cloudy.

Rod Hill just updated his forecast for Tuesday. Backed off a little and said some areas might just see flurries. In his video update he talks about the MM5-NAM where it shows the bulk of moisture south of PDX. He seems to be leaning towards it but I don't agree with him there.

ICON is running. To hour 12 just some very minor differences, but a little more north and east. Remember the ICON hasn't been great for anyone with this system. It has actually been better for NW Oregon with the Thursday morning clipper.

The potential for another major storm in portland, but yet 250 miles north cant even see more than a dusting. Same people continue to get lucky, while the rest continue to get screwed. No one in the PDX area can say a word about dissapointing winters when they continue to outperform those to the north.

The GFS precipitation shield is looking further north on this run by maybe a couple of dozen miles.   I'm happy for the northern folks, including myself.  Hoping for a surprise!
