Blizzard777
Cool pics, but what's so scary about that? Pretty minimal danger to anyone in their cars from a small grass fire like that.Unable to post the video but to witness your first fire and have your child in the car got her adrenaline rollin!!! I heard my grandson in the video say...this is my first wildfire ...lol...he is 6. When I went through that area earlier their was a guy cutting the grass along the roadside. I winder if he sparked the fire? Anyhow, adrenaline rolls when you witness someth8ng like that so close.

And now it will be downright chilly when he is sitting outside smoking cigars on Thursday night with his relatives. Right in between two impressive heat waves. Everything is coming together for Phil!Haha. Been a very strange summer. After breaking the record for most consecutive days with 0.25”+ of rainfall back in June, we then had our driest first half of July on record (no measurable precip at all from 6/28 to 7/15...super rare to go weeks without rain here in the summer). Now we’re breaking daily rainfall records again. It’s like Mother Nature can’t make up her mind. I can’t remember anything quite like this. Was a quick burst though...1” of it fell in just 10 minutes, so it wasn’t an efficient, deep soak. Though we got 3.25” here on two rounds, which makes 4.66” since yesterday afternoon. Badly needed after the last 3 weeks of dry roasting. Phil
Was so thrilled to see rain I just sort of stood out there and let myself get drenched. Something Tim should do more often. This was the birth of the DCA cell..didn’t expect it, just sort of exploded overhead as I was leaving to go jogging. STFU. I would stand out in a warm thunderstorm too. I have done it many times. Even a few times this summer already. But I am not going to stand outside all winter and spring in 40-degree sideways rain which goes on for days and days. Your comparison of a 15-minute thunderstorm to months of cold rain is silly.
