Looks like its accurate... it probably gets the data from one of the weather models.  

That is a great site for web cams.   Sometimes I will just take a tour of the world on there.

I think for the PNW offshore is considered NE, E, and SE.  

But northerly flow is usually continental and dry and acts like offshore flow.   I usually think of offshore flow as the wind going from the land towards the ocean... but maybe it just means from the land.

I like the GEM a bit more than the GFS for the upcoming weekend, but either way there is some potential there. Chilly trough, but maybe not enough moisture or quite cold enough.

Ended up with a chillier than expected 40/32 day here. Was expecting mid 40s once the SW winds broke through this morning, but a band of showers in the early afternoon dropped things back into the upper 30s and it stayed there the rest of the day.

Still have decent amount of snow around, looking good for another freshening tonight too. Currently 35 and there’s already been a rain snow mix at points this evening.

Pretty heavy snow band over us for the past hour or so, has us up around 10.5” on the day now. Depth getting up over 15”. 
 

26” on the month now, getting close to the 27.1” we had in December, 2021. January 2012 (32.3”) could be in striking distance.

Looking at radar, the 18z NAM may be an alright solution. Makes it even stranger that it bailed on the 00z only to have its previous run verify better. Schrug.

Flow definitely turning more SWerly now which does start to open the door for the Central Sound. MossMan effect snow also going strong.
