00Z GFS and 00Z ICON are quite a bit drier for Thanksgiving... not totally dry though.   

 

GFS shifts the focus farther south... the ICON just looks more stretched out and weaker.

Ironically... Thanksgiving is the only holiday that I don't really care about the weather.   I track it just out of habit like everything else.   I want snow on Christmas and New Years of course... and don't want rain on any of the other holidays.   

 

Even more ironic (considering that I don't really care) is that we have had quite a few dry and even sunny Thanksgivings in the last few years.

Ironically... Thanksgiving is the only holiday that I don't really care about the weather.   I track it just out of habit like everything else.   I want snow on Christmas and New Years of course... and don't want rain on any of the other holidays.   

 

Even more ironic (considering that I don't really care) is that we have had quite a few dry and even sunny Thanksgivings in the last few years.

It doesn't matter too much if it rains on Easter for me, though that is a great time of the year to be starting to garden usually. I have a greenhouse to get started in January/February even though.

See the bottom of the PV attempt to split from Eurasian/NATL wave activity, but the vortex aloft remains fully intact. A real SSW would shred the vortex from the top down.

Definitely a step backward on the long range 00z GFS ensembles in terms of cooler weather. Things certainly look wetter beyond day 5 or so, though.

Left an event in the fog and 45 degrees.  2 miles north at my house, 38 and clear.  Just picking up an east wind in the last 10 minutes as well.  Leonids anyone??

Near perfect weather up this way for them, except for the north wind (Leonids) rates will be low though only 10-20 per hour

Looks like east wind is going strong at PDX with 49 there... 42 at SEA with a north wind.

 

Still waiting here for the wind to surface... clear and pretty much calm here and 34 with some frost on the grass in the lower part of the backyard.    

 

East wind should pick up soon and tomorrow morning will likely be much warmer here.

I model ride just as much as the next guy, but i think early December (2nd week) is our shot. I would much rather have a shot at cold/snow in mid December to early January than waste it now.
