mlgamer
IMBY the wind is now from the west and the temp is 46F after being 51F earlier...so we are getting in the wrap around now. Fun storm to track but it would have been epic if serious arctic air had been pulled in...especially for you guys up north. Minny_Weather
I should have clarified for Omaha and Lincoln. I’m talking the front end snows. The back end wrap around is anyone’s guess but usually wrap around snow will amount to a T to 2” at best. Grounds will be wet so accums will be tough. This system is so far West & slow when the changeover occurs we'll probably still be on the front end. You're right though, accumulations will be tough because it is likely we will still be above freezing. Small town out by Seward reported 34*F and sleet. james1976
Rain and wind here. 33° but the deck looks icy and looks like ice on the trees. DMX talking 50mph wind gusts later. Definitely a powerful storm.
St Paul Storm
27F here. Dark skies to the south. They removed liquid precip from the forecast so let’s see if we can get a little bump in snow totals as a result.
gabel23
Picked up 1.7” of rain last night and snow started about 8 this morning. It has covered the grass and roads are slushy. This dry air has cut off the snow for now, I’ll patiently be waiting for the snow to pivot back in.

gabel23
Just stepped out. We are almost all sleet and it's getting slick. This storm for sure has slowed considerably.
Minny_Weather
The dry air may be a gift in disguise. Gives us a bit to cool down and could result in some (not even close to all) of us getting slammed by the wraparound.
