It was a joke. Then again, by the six-hour frames, things didn't look that impressive is it seemed like PDX proper was on the border of a lot.

00z Euro isn't as insane as the 12z but still D**n good for region wide fun. WRF, FV3, GEM and Euro all looking pretty solid for PDX. Not a huge fan of the GFS still, seems to have the most cold rain and southerly flow for this next event.

lol. When I lived on the east coast, i've seen the ECMWF be plenty wrong with a short time frame for snowstorms. At the end of the day it's still a model forecast.

Was about to say..it was forecasting 28” here on 12/26/10 just 24hrs out and we ended up with a few flurries.

 

It can miss too. But it has also improved substantially since then.

Pretty much all these runs show massive amounts of snow up here...As long as they are doing that I CANNOT complain.

Total snow over the next week.    Ironically... 80% of my snow comes in a 12-hour period on Friday night.      Andrew might have roof collapsing issues.

But yes, that is a recurring theme. I promise I'm not this trigger-happy on things apart from model riding.
