Andie
Thunderstorms rolled in at 4 am like clockwork. Nice lightning and booming but I preferred the sleep. The worst of the storm was North on Ft. Worth We've received .60" so far today. Edit: At 8:25 Round 2 is thundering it's way in from the west. This is the beginning of the flooding on the course less than 5 minutes after it had begun. We are saturated and these 2 lines of storms are dumping a lot of water in a short period of time. That's seems to be the pattern this spring. Clouds so heavy with moisture that they simply open up and drop the water. Lots of thunder and. Heavy lightning as well. IMG_3700.PNG Okay, the rain is over and the system is moving out at a clip. Wind has picked up with gusts to 20-25mph. The line intensified as it went east into deeper Gulf air. Storms are strongest east of Dallas. I'm wondering how the farmers will ever get into the fields. Total rainfall between 4 and noon - 2.64" We've already had about 10" of rain this year. . 3 Quote Before You Diagnose Yourself With Depression or Low Self-Esteem,...First Make Sure You Are Not In Fact, Just Surrounded By A$$holes. “If I owned Texas and Hell, I would rent out Texas and live in Hell.” Gen. East Dubzz
Heavy rain kind of fell apart as it came towards here, but there is some developing behind it. Hopefully that materializes, and hopefully the line that the HRRR is showing happens as well.

Stormy
More thunderstorms in Texas, more cold rain in Iowa this morning. It sure would be nice if we could shift everything north. Would also be interesting to have what Ks had yesterday. Don't really want severe though, but I love strong storms.

Looks like I'll get at least a little additional rain from what's developing, and my storm total could approach an inch if I really get a good downpour. But.... overall, a pretty lackluster system given the potential. Feel like I've said that a lot so far this year, which is weird to say considering the amount of rain we've had despite that. Tom
This storm systems effects is covering a lot of real estate, so far stretched that I just had a line of storms roll in off the mountains and ushered some pretty solid winds out ahead of the main line. I heard a few rumbles of thunder but nothing crazy. It's awesome watching the dark skies come down the mountains into the valley. The wind though, it gets wild here and swirls quite a bit. Not like the straight line winds we get back home or in the Midwest.
Bryan1117
Picked up around 1.25 inches of rain this morning and today, which brings my three-day total from this storm system to right around 1.75 inches of rain. All of the measurable rain we received was from plain rain, no thunder or lightning to speak of. Except for the thunder and lightning that we saw from the Lincoln supercell on Sunday, there really hasn't been much thunderstorm activity to speak of this last week around Omaha - pretty unusual for this time of the year. This needed rainfall will go a long way to continuing the "green up" around here.

There's been worse ofc, but we really need to break this pattern down. Did my 2nd mow of the week here - tis the season.
