Phil
I could never live anywhere with high humidity summer climates. The one time I visited family in Minneapolis in July years ago did me in...And I’m sure it’s much worse in the south.Minnesota is a cakewalk compared to here and especially the Gulf Coast/far SE. It’s true that the most extreme events in the Midwest are comparable to those here, but they don’t last long. And the Sun is slightly weaker, which has a (surprisingly large) difference on perception. Phil
Way too populated an area for my taste. But coming from your area that would not be an issue. Traffic is horrible (Worse than Portland, not as bad as Seattle.), high cost of living, not really any trees unless you live in the Western suburbs.Ah, gotcha. Yeah pretty much anywhere I move will be an improvement in the traffic department, but I wouldn’t want to live downtown if I could help it. Chewbacca Defense
well I’m not going to go into a full breakdown of why I don’t like this and that about Washington...mainly just that it doesn’t match up with my political views. I’m more right of center and this area isn’t exactly that. Plus it’s really expensive to live here. I’ve lived here my whole life and probably won’t move out of Washington state regardless...just my opinion. You pretty much summed up my sentiments...I moved here about 18 years ago, and love just about everything about it....except a good chunk of the people mostly based on political views...I was ready to move a month or so ago, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that this is about as good as its gonna get, so I might as well stay put as long as I can afford to live here....
