Theta-e temp is lower than yesterday. So are 850s/bndry layer temps. Not by a lot but probably enough.

 

My 99°F might be generous even if E winds turn on.

Offshore flow is done. That said, the valley often peaks when gradients go flat, but in this case 500mb heights are lowering fairly quickly.

In that case I don’t think they’ll even hit 99°F.

I enjoy it a lot. Puget sound keeps temps in check in the summer.

If this is the only major heatwave we get this summer then I will say it was a good summer... Historically I did not mind 1-2 heatwaves a year. The 2013-19 period was just godawful. Admittedly last year was not as bad as the two prior summers, but jumping into summer in late April was a bummer.
