Got down to 61 this morning already 68 degrees. We will see if we can make a run at 90! This morning is our second 60+ low this year...had 7 at this time last year.

Low of 63F here, but only made it up to 83F yesterday. I have a feeling today will end up a little warmer.

Yeah it’s warming rapidly now!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I had the sprinklers on this morning!   First time since late summer in 2018.

My area has had 9 days with measureable rain this month... normal is 7 or 8 days depending on elevation out here.

Last July we had 14 days with measureable rain.    So this month is much closer to a typical July in that regard.   We also had 13 days with measureable rain in August last year... so with 27 days with rain in July and August in 2019 its obvious why we did not need to water for the first time in our 15 years here.    Not going to be true this year.

Good chance August is wetter than July, if I’m reading the pattern correctly. Looks fairly zonal/lacking meridional amplification.

Looks like a new upwelling wave has developed in the equatorial Pacific. OHC already dropping with the most spatially anomalous trade surge since 2011 currently ongoing.

Was only a matter of time given the lack of WWBs.

Hopefully your right! Overall your forecasts have been pretty decent so far besides saying summer would peak before the 4th. However there’s no way to be totally accurate with a long range forecast so good job.

Just 6 rainfall days this July here...we had 6 last year as well but had 0.99” of rain compared to 0.37” this year. Had 7 rainfall days last August.

Yeah, the late June warmup dropped the ball on me.

Still, that was going out on a limb, even for -ENSO climo. Dynamically speaking, though, it came pretty close.

That pesky detail of the actual sensible weather got in the way.

Almost 4 inches of rain here last July... and 1.5 inches this month which is much closer to normal.   Our ratios are the almost exactly the same between this July and last July with about 2.6 times as much rain last year in both places.

There are many troughy patterns that can result in rain here and not in your area... particularly in the summer.   But not the other way around.   Overall this has been a pretty typical July here.

Still you’re doing a pretty good job this summer in terms of long range forecasts. Has been pretty close to predicted minus a few small scale details.

Has been pretty nice this summer overall. Really not much to complain about has been pretty typical and enjoyable. Only thing I could hope for is some convective chances I guess.

Crap it's 87F here already! Humidity down to 49 percent which is not that low. I'm shooting for the low 90's here anyway.

HOTT! I love it!
