Ken in Wood Village
The showers are getting more intense. More lightning strikes are happening but mostly in Washington for now. Portland looks like it's going to get hit hard with some very heavy showers. Looks like it's going to be a very wet evening. Popular Post MossMan
Poor guy collided with a yellow jacket nest in the ground today while I was home for lunch…They were ANGRY!! Got him up to the deck and there were at least a half dozen still attached to him, burrowing into his fur to get to his skin to sting. I was pulling them out with a towel and they would go back in for more…It was quite crazy! Then after I thought I got them all I brought him in the house and of course two more fly off of him so I had to hunt and kill them inside. He didn’t seem too phased by it but I gave him a Benadryl just in case before going back to work today. I nuked the nest this evening. The wildfires in Australia that year were very small in comparison to what has burned in Canada this year. 13 million acres vs 46 million acres I don’t know, the research is mixed on that. Wouldn’t surprise me if it did, though. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
