Looks lovely!   This ice storm uncertainty sucks.

We actually have light fluffy snowflakes right now.   It would be so nice if it could just stay like this today.

Last update was power was coming back at 11... been pushed back 5 times already and can't imagine it's coming back with conditions getting worse.

Really??

Yup, those are the real 12Z ice maps for those two short-term models. Like it or not, it looks like you are going to score again. I will note that the HRDPS correctly modelled the influence of the Fraser outflow here; the Euro was too warm yesterday, particularly in Whatcom county.

It's called clown range for a reason.

I have a few flakes falling now!

You should get a couple inches at least I would think. Colder air is deeper there. Temp is slowly falling here now as it tries to turn back to all snow.

Another thing I watch for today is signs the atmosphere is cooling or dry above and right now with dark green radar there is almost nothing coming down, the air is drying above me right now from offshore flow so things should start cooling.

Started as snow at 7:45 here, turned to rain about 8:10 but is back to all snow again for now. 32.4 degrees.

Going to be an interesting day with a hodgepodge of different precipitation types changing back and forth all over the place.

North of Everett has a ton of potential for surprises today for sure. It has been back n forth here. The chance will increase later today here with stronger offshore flow. The moisture was ahead of schedule and the offshore didn't get going much.

The cold air has definitely fought back west through the gorge. Hood River was at 41 last night, but is now back down to 27 with snow this morning. Temperature and dew point is also starting to drop at pdx. Look out eastsiders...

We have about 15 inches on the ground with moderately heavy snow falling now and another 2-4 inches on the way today. Don't have to worry about not getting snow around here. :)

Yeah the worst part about snow here is that you are so worried about the changeover and when it will be melting that it’s hard to enjoy the moment.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

When that heavy stuff around Everett makes it up to you @MossMan it’s going to puke snow up there assuming it doesn’t switch over.

Think I’ve already had the accumulation that the maps showed me having, if they are correct it should be switching to rain any moment 🤢🤮

Good sign here that you should stay as snow for a bit longer, it even switched over near my house! Too bad it’s just rain here in Edmonds where I’m at currently.

If I was staring out at this one week ago today I would have felt so at ease knowing it would be around for at least a week…argh…

 My guess 2-3

Light snow and 33F after a low of 29F. It's kind of funny. After spending almost a week below freezing, I'm not sure I'm actually going to see any snow fall below freezing. 925mb temps look very marginal so I wouldn't be surprised to see this transition to rain within the hour. But for now I'm loving it.

Starting to get concerned about the ice tomorrow. Ice potential is going up and NWS Spokane is considering issuing an ice storm warning. A friend is driving to Spokane and back tomorrow to pick up the Floridian. Spouse isn't concerned because they have studded tires. But that can't really help much with ice, right?

Tree limbs really drooping with the snow at home now…and a Very wet snow to almost a mix at work which is less than a mile from the house but 200’ lower. Roads don’t care about the 925’s though…They are snow covered and slick with a layer of ice underneath.
