Yeah, us central oregon folks have been doing decent. I'm at about 50 inches for the season, which is a few feet below average, but in a couple weeks I might be up to average. Ensembles are consistently giving me 2 feet, but that's 10:1 ratio, kuchera is consistently giving me about 3 feet!

Man that's close!  Just noticed this shows 850mb winds are NW.  That would not shadow Seattle.

This GFS run shows legit snow for the EPSL at the same time the 0z ECMWF did.

To me the nicest thing about the 12z EPS is how much it extends out the chilly pattern

I first started posting on Mark’s weather blog when I was 19. Don’t think I found this place until I was about 21, though. I definitely remember posting here spring and summer of 2007. Fully onboard for the 2007-08 Niña winter hype.

I like how the chance is there to get a taste of Canadian air at some point.  Could be a couple of windows for a legit snow event.

I cant see how Tims place wont score at some point with this pattern, snow levels will be lower than 1k feet a bunch of times with precip.

The deepest snow event i have had in march is about 1 foot but i cant remember when that was.

Sometimes.  Mostly with the ones that only partially work out though.  The really good ones are awesome.

I am also at the correct elevation, but I am not sure how shadowed I will be with the NW flow.

Well back on the midday news, KEZI put up the snow mix graphic for the south Willamette Valley...It's nice that Dylan Robichaud, Cameron Landfield and co seem to like snow and enjoy going out and reporting on it. Dylan Robichaud did a good job going out into the field when snow showers were coming down back in Dec 2021.

My preferences haven't changed, really. I'm just more okay with it getting hot because I can't control the weather. But we can both agree that we've seen far too much of the latter in recent years, and having been born in 2001 I really haven't experienced a truly cold summer. I have sparse memories of persistent clouds in 2010/11 but that's about it.

The elephant in the room is the entire thing is red/orange.  I'm sure somewhere will end up below normal.  It is nice seeing a weak trough over us though.
