February 2024 Weather in the PNW

10:1 ratio map from ECMWF for the rest of this event. Still looks like there's potential for salem tonight, going to be a lot of radar riding today instead of model riding.sn10_acc-imp.us_nw(4).thumb.png.f0ca10a6f9f75a7359cb63a8404c509a.png

What is he even talking about bringing up man made? Do people think we towed a giant iceberg up to the Equator?

No idea.  I haven't gotten past kindergarten which is why i said look at the model outputs only and to ignore his gibberish.

I know we're looking at equatorial temps, but those temps in the Arctic are off the charts and Antarctica isn't looking great either.

Because all of the arctic's cold is going to be sitting over the PNW.  Get your snow shovels ready.

Has the HRDPS been running on weatherbell.  Seems like it’s been offline on the timbits site.

Something is wrong with the HRDPS. WeatherBell is only showing the first two or three hours of each run’s time frame. Most frustrating. Would be nice to have a second high-res mesoscale model available to confirm the NAM 3km.

It's called clown range for a reason.

There are exactly three more days where I have a chance of seeing sticking snow IMBY. Everything on or past March 1st (i.e. most of what the lying models show) is pure phantom snow. At least for me.

Looks like we could get 2-3” this evening. Will all come down to moisture. Much bigger potential later in the week.

How are you feeling about this evening? I’m thinking some hit or miss light accumulations are possible.

Same. Half of Slushy Inch could smile upon any of us, but I just don't see anything organized enough for much more.

Saturday OTOH looks like it could be semi-legit.
